J. Benton Collaboration Area
St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands
This modest 650 s.f. space serves as a daily break area for company employees, a hot-desk work area for visiting Project Managers, an informal meeting, presentation, and collaboration space, and an ad-hoc coordination center and “war room” for company efforts before, during, and after hurricane events. Previously a neglected and seldom used back area within their offices, the ceiling of the space is uniquely configured into curved open and closed planes to coordinate with the distinct work and gathering areas set directly below them. A café and “bar” are provided in support of employee food and drink within the area.
