This 700 s.f. beach pavilion was designed to provide a tranquil getaway space, with the ability to open all of its doors wide to take advantage of the natural views and breezes around it, yet hard enough to successfully withstand the worst that a waterside environment could eventually throw at it. The pavilion features many upscale elements including a terrazzo floor, high-end appliances and millwork within the kitchen area, exposed wood plank ceilings, LED uplighting, air conditioning, copper gutters, and a composite slate shingle roof. Providing a solid foundation in a beach-sand environment proved to be its own unique challenge. The pavilion construction was shoe-horned onto the site to create the least disturbance possible to its existing natural setting and vegetation.
